Discovery Notes | Found in a landscaping soil outside of an apartment complex, right next to the building and foot traffic. Host used was Bacillus thuringiensis Berliner DSM 350. |
Naming Notes | I have celtic heritage (Irish) and I wanted to name it in a celtic language, since most great scientific names are in german or latin. I learned that my professor is welsh, which provide which celtic language I wanted to use. I chose "di-ildio", which means "unyielding" as this phage yielded very little plaques compared to other more aggressive phage. |
