Discovery Notes | This phage was found in a sample of top soil from a garden bed. The soil was found in an area where flooding is frequent and the soil was damp at the time of collection. |
Naming Notes | This phage was names after my high school biology teacher Ginny Hauger. My first day of biology class sophomore year I remember Mrs Hauger telling us that if we ever find something new we should name it after her. My love for biology started with her class and she deserves to have something named after her. |
