Discovery NotesThe soil that it was discovered from came from a potted plant on the third floor of the ISAT building. I first, moved some leaves out of the way and recovered the soil that was on the top. I did not get any soil from deep within the plant. The dirt was dark and had several other unknown particles in it. I would assume leaves and some sort of fertilizer product.
Naming NotesThe name came from the college football team Alabama. There is nothing special involved in the name, I just like the team.
