Discovery NotesThe virus was discovered by my lab partner. She collected the soil on August 20, 2013. The soil was collected at a depth of 10.4 cm next to a stone retaining wall. It was dry and the surrounding land was covered in a layer of rocky soil.
Naming NotesI named the phage "viva la vida" because it felt glorious, is meaningful, and is the name of a great Coldplay song.
