Discovery Notes | This phage was discovered on campus at James Madison University. The dirt came from underneath the grass. The soil was dry and it was about two inches under the grass layer. The grass was dug up and then the dirt was scooped up and put into a plastic bag. It was in the plastic bag for one day. The plastic bag was then brought to lab for further analysis. |
Naming Notes | This phage was named Huff based on the location that it was discovered. It was discovered outside of Huffman Hall which is why it received its name. |
