Discovery Notes | The soil sample was obtained on September 9, 2012 from a hole about 4 cm deep in moist ground. The weather was 23 degrees C. The head of Lytkorick is round and about 60 nm in diameter, and the tail is only about 15 nm. From the DNA digestion, an estimated genome size of 35,000 base pairs were given. |
