Discovery NotesThis phage was isolated on a Bacillus strain that our lab calls P560, however, I do not know the exact species. It was isolated using techniques from SEAPhages, as well as protocols from the Center for Phage Technology at Texas A&M University. I had sequencing performed on the phage DNA and blasted it in this database and found no matches, indicating it is a novel phage.
Naming NotesThe phage is named for the soil it was isolated from, Pickle, found on J.J. Pickle Research Campus at UT Austin, and the Bac comes from the Bacillus.
